Day 17

Day 17: A song that you hear often on the radio.

To be honest, I don't generally listen to the radio at home. Most of the time I'm either playing my cds on the stereo or I have something playing on the computer. When we're in the truck together out and about, 9 times out of 10 he has the talk radio on (*barf*). However, whenever he gets out of the truck to quick run in somewhere, I usually turn the station over to the one rock station we manage to get in town (there are actually 2-3, but the truck radio's kinda finicky). Actually, I've almost got him trained enough where most times he will turn the channel over to the rock station as he exits the truck. Those djs have some awesome taste in classic rock, that's for sure! Led Zep is in heavy rotation there and this one is played quite often.

Being totally honest, I don't tend to listen to music on the radio that often. Sorry about this, Styxie, but... I prefer the talk shows on the radio. Thing is, the main time I have the radio on is if I want company when people are out - or when I'm not managing to sleep at night - (too much of a vivid imagination), so I have it on the talk shows because then it feels like someone is around, if that makes sense. Some of them have some songs happening during them, but I can't for the life of me think what they are usually. I do remember some of the amusing discussions in the shows recently though...

I haven't listened to the radio in years. My drive to work was too short for it (all I ever heard were the endless commercials) and then I just couldn't hear well enough.

So its been years since I've listened to music outside of youtube and streams - and not heard a stream in a while either.

So my answer would be "None".

I only listen in the car and it's usually on TheBear (classic rock) THey rotate a lot of Zepplin, Ozzie and Hendrix. Theres an oldies channel too that I like (it's one of those nationwide ones) that play lots of great 70's music. BUt when I'm at home, I usually don't have any music on.

Guess I'm the oddball here. Since I spend almost an hour in the car each way for work, I get plenty of radio time. Sometimes I listen to talk radio, but if what they're talking about isn't interesting, I'll switch over to fm to listen to music. Then I spend time up and down the dial to avoid the commercials. I listen to everything from oldies to country to rock to alternative, and everything else in between (as you well know). The first song that came to mind though was the new Brad Paisley song, "Old Alabama".

I listen to the True Oldies Channel and Honky Tonk Woman immediately came to mind.
