03) Once that's done, go back to Last Shreds Of Sanity and sign the Mr Linky that she'll have up (this will help direct those who play along to your blog...we're talking new peeps reading and maybe new followers for everyone....). Don't forget to leave some love on the sites you visit!!

So. Whatcha got planned for today? We're not doing much here today as the truck's in the shop...*AGAIN*. Ah well. We knew this one was coming. I just don't think hubby was expecting it to show up quite so soon. Something to do with the choke...or the choke equivalent whatsitdoozit. I was kinda hoping to get out and about again, but the truck is more important at this point. That's ok though as we were out today and I have nearly 300 pix to sort and decide if they're worthy enough of posting to that Flickr stream to the right. Plus I have a few other folders worth of pictures to get loaded there as well....while I'm at it I better hook up the external hard drive and check to see if I can find this set of pictures that seems to be completely incomplete on this computer of mine....

I do have a few blog entries bouncing around in the ol brain, it's just a matter of ripping myself away from Facebook and those friggin addicting games. No...Mafia Wars aint caught me, but there are 3 other equivalent type games that have. Damn. I'm gonna have to decide which one or two are my favs and get rid of the rest....

Anyhoo.....everyone have a B-EA-YOOUU-tiful day! Oh...but before you go...if you could kindly pop up towards the top of the page there and quick vote on my poll.... thanks bunches!

Wontcha be... my neighbor?

You see this cute little brick number? That would be the place that I presently call home. The grey house is rented by my neighbor Joe. He's the nice quiet neighbor. The end unit belongs to the one I complain about regularly. Across the sidewalk from me is another relatively quiet neighbor. It's actually a pretty quiet area over all even with the amount of kids running around.

Across the cul du sac, there's this poor brick townhouse which has 2 different tenants in it since we got here (and we ain't even been here a year yet). They never seem to stay long. Only a few months and then *poof*. I suspect it might be because of the landlord. Anyhow, as you can see, it's empty yet again and has been this way for months now.

This little beauty had a tenant when we moved in but about 6-8 months later they left. There hasn't been a set of curtains in that window ever since. Just that flier in the window. One of these days I'm gonna pluck up the courage to go see what it says. My luck, I'm recommending it and it'll turn out to be haunted or condemned or something.

Or, if you really wanna move in close to me... there's this beauty. Yea, the lawn needs mowing but I don't think the landlord gets this way too often. The grey house to the left is my neighbor Joe (the quiet neighbor). The only drawback to this one is the brick to the right. They've got 4 kids all under the age of 11 and I'm not sure how loud they get when inside. I do know that the parents are both cabbies for the area so one of them is always home.

So..who wants to move in and keep me company while the husband's at work?

What I saw

If you haven't read the Whatchasee post from this morning, I suggest you go there first... otherwise this won't be any fun!

I actually saw 2 things this time.

While clicking the picture the first thing I saw was Dim, the rhino beetle from A Bug's Life. I wish I coulda found a better picture of just him with his wings down. A well.

And then, while I was looking through all the picutres and trying to decide which one I wanted to use this week, I thought I saw a Dutch shoe... but then realized the wooden Dutch shoe didn't have quite the loop near the toe. It then hit me that the clouds were getting ready for the holidays already!

I'll ask again... do we make this a weekly thing? If everyone is having fun releasing their inner child for a few brief moments, I'll be happy to keep this around....

Whatchasee?

We're in our 4th week of this. You know the drill. Look for a new post about 8-9pm east coast time to see what I saw when I clycked this pic!

Burned Biscuits

When I was a wee ''tike'', my mom liked to make breakfast food for dinner every now and then. And I remember one night in particular when she had made breakfast after a long, hard day at work.

On that evening so long ago, my mom placed a plate of eggs, sausage and extremely burned biscuits in front of my dad. I remember waiting to see if anyone noticed! Yet all my dad did was reach for his biscuit, smile at my mom and ask me how my day was at school. I don't remember what I told him that night, but I do remember watching him smear butter and jelly on that
biscuit and eat every bite!

When I got up from the table that evening, I remember hearing my mom apologize to my dad for burning the biscuits. And I'll never forget what he said: "Baby, I love burned
biscuits."

Later that night, I went to kiss Daddy good night and I asked him if he really liked his biscuits
burned. He wrapped me in his arms and said, "Your Momma put in a hard day at work today and she's real tired. And besides - a little burnt biscuit never hurt anyone!"

You know, life is full of imperfect things and imperfect people. What I've learned over the years is that learning to accept each other's faults and choosing to celebrate each other's differences
is one of the most important keys to creating a healthy, growing, and lasting relationship.

And that's my prayer for you today. That you will learn to take the good, the bad, and the ugly parts of your life and lay them at the feet of God. Because in the end, He's the only One who
will be able to give you a relationship where a burnt biscuit isn't a deal-breaker!

"Don't put the key to your happiness in someone else's pocket! Keep it in your own."

Today's share came via the email from my mom. Normally, I'd place a story like this in the Inspirational blog but not many people visit that particular area of my sites... so I thought I'd share it here.

Oh heavens, it slipped my mind!

Hoppy Anniversary Alice Kay and Terri!

It's Saturday!!

Everyone have a wonderful weekend!

from the passenger seat

Several months ago, we'd paid for a Pampered Pet Package at the vet's for KatyLou. The package had 14 days boarding, 5 vet appointments and 7 groomings all bundled for one price. Awesome. So this last Friday we carted her off to the "spa" and ran some errands.

I'm not sure when it finally happened but that Walgreens that they were building across the street from the strip mall the Shopper's grocery store is in is finally open. It's really good to see some new businesses come into the area as it shows some growth. It would have been nicer to see some really new businesses come into the area, ya know a store that didn't already exist around here. It could have been worse, though, it might have been another WalMart or 7-Eleven.

Is it just me or does anyone else find this picture slightly amusing? One side of the building contains a medical center, while the other houses not only a bank, but a Dunkin Donuts and a Baskin Robbins. At least when someone has a heart attack from all the fats in those sweets, they won't have too far to go to get to a doctor.

While we were on our way to drop off and later pick up the dog, I noticed that the new apartments are almost completed. These are the same ones that were just breaking ground when we were living in the corporate housing. There will be lofts on the top 2 floors while stores make up the ground level. I half expect that we'll see curtains in some of those windows by next year. By then, we'll be having road construction out there because I certainly don't see that the present roads will be able to accomodate the traffic that I'm sure will start showing up in the area.

Here is KatyLou, fresh from the dryer. She was one happy, clean poochie.

plastered Drama Queen wears plated gold cards

Heh. Now that I have your attention *gigglez*.

I so meant to have this and the next couple entries written on Sunday and scheduled like I'd done the week before. For the life of me I can't remember what side tracked me so badly. Maybe I need to bump the "sorta unplugged" day to Sunday and leave it as the day of rest that it's meant to be. I do know that the Comcast outage on Tuesday (nearly all. damned. day) didn't help matters in getting my blogging done.... nope not at all. Well that and last Friday's side trip which triggered a minor case of depression (where the HELL did all that time go??)....that didn't help matters either.

Monday was my day to purposefully and willfully ignore all things 'net for several hours. It's unbelieveable how long the day seems when one unplugs somewhat and just goes to find other things to do for the day. Below you'll see a pic of some of the pieces I've been working on. I know Jeannie was wanting to see them in their "rough", half-way done state. I took this picture sometime last week. I've since finished these pieces and started a new project. No, I won't be posting a picture of it in any stage until it's finished, shipped and maybe sometime after it's been received. As you can see, they don't exactly look anything like what the finished product will be like. I gotta touch up a couple of the pieces because something got on them when they were outside drying (I spray them with a matte finishing spray when I'm done. It's not enough to protect from the elements if the piece is outside, but it's enough to give the piece that "done" look ).

While we were out at WalMart this last week, I got another nail polish. I haven't decided if I like the color on me yet, but I do LOVE the name of it! Drama Queen, how very appropriate! I'll try it again in a week or so and if I'm still not sure, I can send it to my GaSis. She's living with her sister and mom and the sister LOVES pink. This week's shade that got picked up is Crimson Pearl by CQ. I definitely like it better than the pink. If I think of it, I'll post a picture of the color gracing my nails. It's much nicer than the block of color they have on their site.

While we were out on Saturday, we stopped in the local pawn shop and I saw this beautiful ring. I won't be able to wear it that often because it's not pure gold, but with a little coating of clear nail polish I should be able to get some decent wear out of it. It was sitting in the case with a $49.95 tag on it and I only had $20 with me so I was all set to put it back because I wasn't carrying my bank card that day. When my hubby says that if I want it, I can have it (waits as several of my readers say that I'm extremely spoiled) and he whips out his wallet (yes, I am, but I don't ask for jewelry that often so when I ask, I generally get what I want). So the clerk rings it up and the total with tax comes up as LESS than the display price. Seems that to make the sale, he knocked almost $10 off the price. WHOOT!

gold ring with 2 dolphins Oh! And I think it was Saturday that I got a couple pieces of "good mail". First was a package from Dorkys from over at Dry As Toast. YAY!! It was my goodies from that Pay it Forward type giveaway that she did awhile back (ya know, the same thingy that failed miserably over here with only 2 of my friends participating even though it's a really EASY contest to do...*sighs*). She sent me a hand painted postcard with a lovely note on the back, 3 handmade cards with blank interiors and envelopes to go with them as well as a nice book that I'd won from another give away she'd done. As suggested on her note, I handed the book to hubby and told him it was all for him. *giggles* Now I KNOW that the blank cards are meant to be used, however I think I have something else in mind for them.

The very same day, I had a small envelope show up from Jeannie. *gigglin* Sorry, I just thought of my poor hubby who gives a very valiant attempt at pronouncing her last name. He botches it everytime. Anyhow, the envelope had a lovely, handmade anniversary card in it. Thank you so very much. I do believe I have at least 3 Jeannie originals in my possession now.... no wait, I think there's 4 of them. Yeah, I'm spoiled. Go ahead and say it sweetheart. You know you wanna.

What I saw

What do you see?

So, what does this formation remind you of?

As per usual, another entry will be posted around 8-9pm tonight with a picture of what I was reminded of when I saw it.

Couldn't resist

Saw this on tv just a few moments ago and just had to share.

Weekend Wordle, last chance y'all

It's that time of week again!
It's time for Shan's Weekend Wordles.
Here's what ya do:

01) Go to Wordle.net to create your Wordle. It's lots of fun. You can tweak the colors, fonts and such. If you really want to customize your Wordle for your site you can use this color code chart .

02) Post it on your blog with a link to Shan's Week~End Wordles or Last Shreds Of Sanity.

03) Once that's done, go back to Last Shreds Of Sanity and sign the Mr Linky that she'll have up (this will help direct those who play along to your blog...we're talking new peeps reading and maybe new followers for everyone....). Don't forget to leave some love on the sites you visit!!

Last chance y'all. If you don't know what I'm talking about go to [this link], to see what's going on. I'll keep it open until Monday night at 11pm east.

So far we have Queenie Jeannie playing. Anyone else? Next 4 people to say that they're in on that other entry will be considered playing. So scoot on over and leave me some love in that entry.

EDIT 7:03pm: We've added Iggy to the players. Only 3 more spots available for this. Don't let being hooked in at one of the other games like this keep ya from playing here. Just drop me a comment on the above link to let me know you wanna play and we can work something out!

OMG...she's doing a giveaway....

Ok. I SO meant to have this posted weeks and weeks ago.

But I got sidetracked.....as per usual. No surprise there, eh?

Anyhow, I saw this great little handmade giveaway thingy on Dorky's blog back in June and thought it would be a great way to find new homes for some of my creations.

The next section swiped lifted pretty much straight from Dorky's blog (with the exception of the last sentence and the fact I changed the name of who it got swiped lifted ganked from.

The rules (lifted straight from Dorkys):

The first five people to comment on this post will get something made by me. My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

01- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
Ok, some truth here, you might actually like the work but not what item(s) I choose to send.

02- What I create will be just for you. Well, it'll be chosen with you in mind, at least!

03- It'll be done this year. This I can absolutely guarantee, even at this late date. This is part of why I'm unplugging for a couple days a week. One day to be with hubby and one day to do nothing but crafts.

04- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be photography, I may sew or paint something. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! Ok. Correction here. It won't be sewn, I only have one of those projects planned and it's a Christmas gift. It could possibly be a picture or two, although it's more than likely going to be a painted item.

05- I reserve the right to do something extremely creative.

But there's a catch! You must re-post this on your own blog and offer the same deal to 5 of your own lucky blog readers. So, the first 5 people to leave a comment telling me they are in, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it.

Any takers? (And yes, you have to have a blog for this one. Sorry non-bloggers!)

Response to What do you see?

This week's picture:

So what did YOU see? We had answers like:

Kermit, a little girl running with her hair streaming behind her, a fish, ET groping for his phone (damn that sounds pervy), a frog with its mouth open, a tiger, a nose, The Clapper, and a big puffy cloud.

As for me, this is what I saw:

And yes, I thought of our bloggy froggy lovers....

Now, the question is.... did you have fun playing along? Should we make this a weekly thing or just a once in a while deal? I haven't really decided yes or no on this and it'd be nice to have some feed-back on it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've been offline a good part of the day because I'm not feeling well. All I want right now is to plug my heating pad back in and doze off in my chair......

What do you see?

We had so much fun last week with this, that I felt like revisiting it. So what do YOU see?

odd clouds, minigardens, trains, pollintation and tomorrow's weather

You know what's wonderful about birthdays these days? It's all the coupons for freebees and reduced priced items you can get if you just know where to register with. I'm one that doesn't like when the restaurants make a big deal over you at table-side, but I'm not above using the coupons for the free meals or desserts or whatever they're giving away.

This Thursday, we went to Logan's because I was so in the mood for one of those little desserts in a bucket that they sell. The fact I had a coupon so it didn't cost me that extra was a plus too. We won't go into the fact I ended up ditching hubby at the table because I thought the waiter was going to come back with the whole staff to sing to me once he saw the coupon we gave him. Nope, I so would NEVER do that. We also won't go into the fact that he was laughing at me when he exited the restaurant because I'd bolted for what amounted to as no reason at all.

On Friday, we decided to lunch at Red Robin. We don't normally go because they're kinda pricey for a burger and fries, and they're a ways out from the town house. However, when you have a coupon...you make the trip! Well that and the fact that I just LOVE their sauteed mushroom burgers and freckled lemonade. On the way to the restaurant, I was snapping away and then I see something unusual up in the sky. All I did to the picture below was use the auto correct option in the photo editing program. Even without it darkened, you could see the colors in the middle of the shot. You can see pink and yellow in the picture, but green was also visible to the naked eye. It was like a very faded rainbow. We'd had a smattering of rain very early in the morning but it was pretty dry out when we were out and about, and we weren't due for anymore rain until much later in the evening.

I simply adored the landscaping when we pulled into the shopping plaza's parking lot. Different flowers for a change, YAY! I told hubby that once we were done eating I wanted to go across the parking area and get some shots of the "gardens" outside the store fronts. The red of the blooms just has been popping the last couple weeks. So very vibrant.
On our way home, we got caught waiting at a train crossing. The husband became like a child and practically bounced in his seat... all excited that we'd be seeing a train. *sigh*

Ok, I can understand the first husband's idiotboy's infatuation because his father used to work for the railroad and they lived really close to some tracks. As a boy, he'd spend alot of time watching the trains go by. So I got it with him....I truly understood why.

However, with this husband, I just don't get it. He was never really exposed to them that I could tell, if anything he was around trucks for the most part. So I asked him...

"What the hell is it about trains that guys like so damned much? I mean I get the cars, boats, planes and even to a lesser extent motorcycles. But trains???"

His answer?
Power.

Plain and simple, they like the power. He also said it's possible that there's that wild west connection that the old steam engines have. Now that I think of it, anytime I've noticed a guy going nuts over some ol rusty train, it's always been the freight trains or the very old steam engines and never one of those slick, speedy passanger ones.

I promised myself that when I got home, I was not going to take yet ANOTHER picture of the roses out front. I even took and had turned off the camera and placed it in my purse so there'd be absolutely NO temptation to click them again.

And then I heard it.
Very distinctly a bug in the area of said roses.
Then I saw it, saw what it was doing and decided to chance taking a macro of the event in progress....

The only thing I've done to the photo is use the auto correct option in the editor to lighten it up so you could see what was going on better.

We have a heat advisory for tomorrow. *ugh* High temps are supposed to be around 95 degrees PLUS the heat index. Not that I really mind it that hot, but knowing the weather here we'll end up with the humidity on top of it all. Man, I wish we lived someplace drier... like Texas! I guess it means I won't be taking a walk anywhere for my "Unplugged" day this week. pooh! Looks like a great day for painting stuff though. Got the next set of figurines on the table, all I gotta do is get them primered and ready for color tomorrow.

I think I'll let this do for now. I have at least 2 more entries all scheduled for this week (Wednesday and Thursday). There might actually be one more added (possible Friday)...haven't decided yet. Then there'll be the usual Saturday one as well. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Couldn't decide which one I wanted to post, so y'all get a two-fer this week. We spent the day out and about on Friday so I haven't been in to read the blogs yet. I may not get to them until Sunday because if I have my way, we'll be outta the house later today as well. I still have one other entry to post yet... possibly more once I get to looking at all the pix I took the last couple days. If you can't wait, they've been loaded in the Flickr....feel free to go look if you want to.

EDIT @ 8:52am: I'm up alot earlier than I planned so I am going to be in a few of the blogs today getting caught up. As there are more than 40 entries in the Reader today, I doubt I'll get to all of them, but shall do my best to get to as many as possible before I have to leave the computer for the day.

I'm truly and absolutely spoiled

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it a couple times before. In case I haven't, I'll say it again.

I am sooooo incredibly spoiled.

I have some of the best buddies in the world. Considering I have friends in at least 4 countries, I don't feel that's too much of an exaggeration. It's not, is it? Well anyhow, in the days leading up to "F-Day" we started with a kick-ass party over at iggy's blog, where a rowdy time was had by all... especially by a certain stoned OCHA, who will remain nameless in my blog, that professed that what she was smoking was for "medical purposes only". Well, at that was her story and she's still sticking to it.

Then on Saturday an envelope showed up from iggy with not one, but 2 cards in it. The post-it note enclosed said that he couldn't decide which one to send so I was getting a two-fer. I have to laugh because apparently I did a very good job of hiding my "natal day". One of the cards got signed with a smiley face sticking its tongue out in a :P~~ fashion. Must be because I wouldn't give up my birthdate. So? I'm just a little sensitive about my age, even if it IS only a number.

Our truck was still in the repairshop and since they close before hubby normally gets out of work, well he had to leave a bit early. He swung by the shop in the early afternoon, on his way home from work. They didn't have it done yet but they were looking at about another 30 minutes or so. YAY!

He told me how long it was going to take for the truck when he got home and I started to get ready. I can usually be ready in about 20 minutes or so depending on where we're going. He went downstairs to take the pooch out while I finished up. When I came downstairs, imagine my surprise when I see the most beautiful bouquet of flowers and a card sitting on the laptop waiting for me to notice them.

They are the most GORGEOUS shades of pink and peach. Who cares if they're artificial? They're not the cheesy fakes either, they look real from a distance. He said he figured he hadn't gotten me flowers in a very long time (and he hadn't) and that I'd like these better because they wouldn't die off in a week's time. Have I ever mentioned that he's got the most exquisite taste when it comes to stuff like this?
He gives me these gorgeous flowers so I figure that the card's gonna be one of those mushy ones that he's prone to getting. Nope. My baby knows me too damned well.
The cover of the card says, If someone comes up to you and asks, so what's it feel like to be 40? Then you open it and it says,Take a 2x4, swat them in the head, and say..Oh...alot like that. Under his signature he's written, sounds like what my baby would do. And then signed it with a smiley face.
It was a beautiful day out. Not too sunny, not too cloudy and plenty of sunrays poking through the clouds.I think they look so pretty like that.

I glanced over at our neighbor's yard on our way out and saw the prettiest rose sitting right by the fence so I grabbed a snap of it. This is the adjusted version of the picture. I saturated the heck of it to get the colors to pop.
Our first stop was to the repair shop (remember it was supposed to be 30 minutes from the time he left there the first time and it took me about 20 to get ready and another 5 or so to deal with my pressy), figuring that the truck would be ready... right? Nope. They were doing a second flush on the radiator because it was so yucky and there were a couple last minute things to do. We ended up waiting 90 minutes for them to finish up. I won't grouse though because it was exceptionally busy that afternoon AND they HAD let us borrow the company truck.

That truck cost us $200+ (closer to the $250 end of that) to repair this time. *sigh* It could have been worse though, the bill actually was closer to $350 but the owner knocked $100 off the bill for us. I guess we must be good for his business...

Hubby took me to Chili's for lunch and then we popped over to Michael's to check on some craft items I'm wanting. Unfortunately, they don't have anything for Christmas out quite yet and the stretch canvases aren't in the size I'm wanting. In fact, they don't have a single square canvas. All rectangular ones with a few round and oval ones. I guess I'm gonna need to go to JoAnn's this week and check them out. I know from their web site that the fabric I'm looking for is carried there, now the question is if they have it in stock. I also noticed that they had the square canvases. They aren't in the size I'm wanting (16"x16"), but there's only a 2" difference (18"x18") and I'm hoping it won't look too bad. I think I'll just buy one and hang it on the wall next to the others to see how it looks. If it looks bad, I can always do something else with it. I've got some ideas floating around anyhow. I really hope that they have a head start on the Christmas ornaments too. Either the glass or the flat plaster ones would be nice right about now.

When we got home, we just chilled. Well...and I painted my nails

Glambert Blue!

When I got up the next day and started catching up in the blogs, I found a very nice surprise on Alice's site. Since her blog is private, I'm not going to leave a link because many of you won't be able to see her page anyhow. However, with her permission, I've done a screen cap of the entry that I saw the next day waiting for me.
Aint it pretty?

Ooooh and today? I got a wonderful handmade card in my favorite color (PURPLE) from my friend Queenie Jeannie. So considering the festivities started in iggy's blog on Tues the 28th and I got my card from Jeannie on August 5th...my birthday has lasted over a week!

Response to What Do You See?

So, this morning I posted a picture (seen below) and asked you.... What Do You See?

As of the typing of this post (not to be confused with when it actually gets posted) we've had answers such as a kitten, an alligator or dragon, a turtle and a baby (from the new gramma who has her grandson on her mind) as answers to that question. Isn't it remarkable how the same cloud formation can look entirely different to different people? Same clouds, just the perception changes from person to person. Much like words on a page.

*backspaces for like the 50th time*

I won't go into the tangent that wants to be written because I don't want anything misconstrued and I certainly don't want feelings hurt when that's not what I mean at all. Besides...this is about clouds, and if you take another lesson away from this... well then that's your perception, not mine.

Anyhow, below is the closest picture I can find that I'm reminded of when I see the clouds above. Although, the baby I'm seeing up there is much much smaller or the hand is much much bigger.

What do you see?

So it's official. Right. Now.

One day old. It's listed as my very first picture. It was snapped on August 4th.
Here I am with my godfather. He's been a friend of the family for a very long time. Daddy and he went to school together. He's also the one who did the readings at my first wedding and took care of everything concerning Mimi's (daddy's mom in Fl who passed in 2007) internment. His sister is my godmother.

Mimi and me. I was very much a gramma's girl. I've been told I came at the right time because not to long before hand grandpa had passed on and Mimi was really really sad. I became the brightspot in her life. Mommy and daddy were living with her for a bit after I was born. You see that little birthmark on my forehead? It's long since faded but whenever I'm really ill or upset and crying, it shows back up right nice and bright just like that.

As you can see, I was her pride and joy. I don't think there's a picture of her and me where she's frowning. Always that big beautiful smile on her face. I had this thing for books at even that early age.

As you can see, I've always been a bit shy.

I've also been very fond of food and laughter. I still bust out in a huge laugh just like that when I find something hysterical. You can just see the one dimple on my left cheek (to your right). Those huge carverns just pop right out when I smile big.

Daddy and me. No denying the parentage there. I still look alot like him. Then again, I'm the first kid so it's to be expected.

Mommy and me. She's only 19 in this picture, only 4 months short of her 20th birthday. She's still a very beautiful lady.

Yep...Mimi smilin again. Is it any wonder that my nickname was (and mom still calls me this)starshine?

I always had a sense of fashion too, although I don't always follow it.

I'm about 11 months old in this picture. They'd use that ladder to keep me somewhat corralled in. As you can see, I could have crawled out anytime. So either I was a stickler for rules (Mom said no, it meant no) OR I was always just quite satisfied to stick close to Mimi or my parents so I never really attempted to escape.

Hard to believe that I just hit 40....
Photos courtesy of gramma's S.O.G with P.I.P book that she gave to me the day after my wedding. It's falling apart in that well-loved, often used manner that old photo books get.
Date and time on this post is the official time I turned 40 today.
