Such sad news today. Heaven got another angel in the form of funny woman Bea Arthur. This Wordle tribute was made from the postings on Entertainment Weekly's site. In particular these two entries :

Thanks for all the laughs as one of the Golden Girls.
Thanks too, for showing "old folks" are interesting and worth listening to.
I am always amazed how Wordles manage to capture the essense of a news story - stripping away the jibber jabber.
R.I.P.
I am so sorry to see Bea go, she was a wonderful and funny lady. Vivi loves to watch reruns of Golden Girls.
While I can't stand them anymore because I saw them all like 200 times, I used to watch Golden Girls everyday! How sad!
I loved her in Maude and I absolutely adored her character in The Golden Girls...She was a great actress and wonderful comedian.
She will be missed. I loved her on all the shows she played on.
She was one of a kind, wasn't she? I'm not even sure which sitcom I liked the best...Maude was hysterical, but Bea took it up another notch with Golden Girls, I think. I read in the paper today that she was Edith Bunker's "liberal cousin," on the old All in the Family, which is why she came to Norman Lear's attention. I'm gonna have to see if I can wrangle a copy of those appearances! PS: Don't forget today's Silly Sunday Sweepstakes...write me a funny in Bea's honor, OK?
Yep, Bea Arthur was a great actress and will be missed by many fans. 'Golden Girls' was one of the best comedy shows out there and both my daughter and I loved watching it.
What a nice tribute to Bea. I do like how wordie strips away the noise. It is pretty cool.
I loved "Dorothy!" Too young to have watched Maude, but Bea Arthur played Dorothy brilliantly!
Sad passing...and tonight I heard Dom Deluise passed away.
$.04 ($.02 for each of them)
