I received this via email from my mom and no, Im not sure where she got it from.
Twas the Night Before Elections
'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
" On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!
I make no apologies for my views. If you didnt like this, oh well dont bother leaving a comment. The exit is over there >>>>>
Dont let the door hit ya on the butt on the way out.

Well, I liked it. But I'm not able to vote (even if I wanted to) so I don't have to take sides, I can just laugh at the stuff poking fun at the candidates. LOL!
Ths only good thing about the economy being in the tank and things being slow at work is that my wallet won't have anything in it to be "spread".
I ought to go and ask my grandfather about what he remembers about the Great Depression - maybe he'll have some tips for us.
Cool poem. I grabbed it so I could email it to a few of my friends. Thanks! (hope you don't mind)
*Stands up and Applauds!*
The thing about the Great Depression is I think people came out stronger in the end - at least those who survived it did. As I've said before, I am actually scared for the first time since 9/11.
I've seen that a couple times via email already.
*Stares at the door and decides it's best closed with me in here commenting*
I do have quite opposite views to you here but please don't make me leave! I'm enjoying reading the blog!
Maybe it's the US/UK thing. We may speak the language but we're worlds apart!
I'm terrifed about the election tomorrow. It's going to change all of our lives.
Sorry to hear about your post getting lost on Sunday. I hate it when that happens. At least you didn't punch the computer. (Not that I've done that. Ahem.)
xx
