So in Facebook this week, they've been doing the "Who is your celebrity doppelganger?" Actually, it's been more like the which celebrity do (or did) your friends say you most look like? Well, I don't ever recall any of my friends saying I looked like anyone (that's a post for another day...*sigh*) so I ran a couple of my pix thru the generator on www.myheritage.com. I had to down-load a toolbar which I more than likely will be getting rid of in a few days as I really don't need any more crap on my computer. These were the results:

Oh my....I missed playing last week didn't I?? Damn.
To make up for it this week we have 2 Wordles. The first one is courtesy of the Styx Picks blog which has now reopened for the American Idol season. At least as long the show keeps my attention.
You know the time of year I'm talking about. the time of year that Styx goes into a frenzy and disappears (oh wait, I already did that... they'll never notice....) for the next several months while praising the creator that invented the Hi-def tv. American Idol season!
Only this year's gonna be different. There isn't going to be any loopy Paula to keep things interesting on the show. This will be (supposedly) Simon's last year. Top things all off, I'm still very much addicted to my games over in Crackbook. If Chicagolady hadn't been so kind as to remind me, I surely would have missed the first few weeks dealing with the tortureaudition rounds. Now the huge question is:
Which addiction is going to win out?
Surely I don't have enough hours in the day to deal with both, right?
Or...am I going to go insane trying to get it all done?
So much to do to get ready.... time to make a check list.
01) get note book out and in customary place on desk 02) either sharpen pencils or test pens to make sure I don't run out of ink 03) wash and iron panties in case there is a decent male singer or three worthy of a good pantiflinging......
Now, if I recall the Bo Bice site has a premium area (meaning you pay for access, kinda like the Gold accounts in Classmates) and I only have to assume the little blurbit before the music comes out of that area of the site as I didn't see any confirmation in the general free areas. If there is some truth to this (and I'd assume that there is as there are some peeps from that site on YouTube and if they ever saw their site name in a video, you can be damned sure that they'd be up in arms if it was an unauthorized usage and wrong information), then it's time to get very excited as the local WalMarts will be carrying a new Bo Bice cd. WHOOT WHOOT!!
Now, if you'll excuse me...I've got company for the next couple days and really need to get the CrackFacebook fix in quick before we get started for the day. There are a few things we'd like to get accomplished today...get her a blog set up, for one! I have a hunch it's going to be ALOT like my Padded Room entries but Im not sure yet... As for the Whatchasee... it's postponed this week (I didnt forget!!!) because I highly doubt anyone will be around to play due to being out for the holidays. We'll resume next week (assuming I remember....)
I've done something very much unusual here today, I've left the news on all day. I don't usually bother because the news is a source of mostly bad news and the last thing I need to drive this depression deeper is more bad news about anything. I worry enough about myself, my dear friends and family members. Many would find the news coverage today really horrid, but for me, a gal who grew up in Central New York and is somewhat accustomed to such weather, I find it absolutely wonderful.
So how bad is it, really?
Many areas have around 18-20" of snow and the meteorologists are calling for another 4-6" tonight.
Nearly everything was either closed all day or closing early due to the snow. No public transport (buses, trains or planes), no museums, no shopping (the malls all closed at 4pm) and more than likely no restaurants (except the few businesses that were staying open to see if they'd get foot traffic).
They're already closing schools for next week. They figure since the mid-winter break is supposed to start Wednesday anyhow, they'd just go give the kids an extra couple days off. The main roads may not be in good shape for Monday anyhow...nevermind the sideroads (I think the term to describe them was pitiful).
Churches are actually CANCELLING their Sunday services.
Yeah...you read that one right.
According to the maps, iggy's getting the brunt of the storm now....and it'll be headed towards Dorkys' shortly there after. Don't blame me, I didn't send it. MY intention was to keep a bit more of it and then send it across the pond to Tori.....
There's about 4-5" out there and it's still coming down. I was hoping the vid would pick up the sounds of the snow hitting hubby's coat but I dont think it did.

yes indeedy! If you're not an A-lister, you can't exactly be expecting to be treated like one...
Personally, if you are going to ask to be on one of these tv shows to promote your work of art... it's THEIR schedule you need to follow, not the other way around. There are other people already scheduled and following the timelines set forth by the program. Now, if THEY (the program) called and wanted to schedule you for an interview, then of course they would need to go by your schedule. Simple, right?
Sorry, I know it's been several weeks but I've been rather uninspired as of late. I won't go into it now though. It's an entry for another day...
