Looks like they'll be switchin hubby's schedule in the next couple weeks. Seems they're short handed on the front end of the week and of those on his present shift, he's the best qualified for the position..... yeah...I know....I ~should~ take this as a compliment. However, it seems more like "he's on the low end of the totem pole...we'll move him". At least this is how it looks through my eyes. Anyhow...in two week's time he'll be moving to Sun-Tues and either every other Weds or every other Saturday depending on if he's nights or days. They're putting him on days at first until January. Yeah...means we get a whole month and a half of day shifts and then back to 4 months of nights. *sigh*

Actually the good news is they have enough work to keep on pluggin' and chuggin' were your hubby works - moreover since everything else seems to be really getting kind of rotten.

He's gonna keep your bike always havin' fresh tires!

I agree with Iggy, at least they have enough work for him, and they aren't laying people off.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be switching back and forth between schedules.

Yeah, I know. It's just a pain in the ass trying to keep up with his schedule. Normally I can tell you when he works (just cant keep up with the classes and workshops) but when it gets to the point when even the wife's confused...(not that it takes much at all...)

I left a comment but I got a message that it took too long to complete or something like that. My internet has been really crappy lately. Time to call them and complain....again. (i need another hole out back, iggy)

That switching of schedules has got to be rough!!! But like the rest said, be thankful they aren't laying off...

Well, at least it's a month and a half of days before changing to nights rather than a week and a half. Means you don't literally just get so you're sleeping the same time as him before it changes.

*tries again*

At least he isn't on a swing shift that changes every 5 to 7 days. Terri was on swing shift when he worked at Masonite Corp, and that's one of the reasons why he ended up taking my Mustang for a swim early that morning on his way home from going back on third shift. He fell asleep at the wheel.
